This 1 1/2 inch (38 mm) St. Benedict Crucifix pendant and rosary crucifix is an exact replica of a historic European devotional piece, faithfully recast in your choice of solid sterling silver or gold bronze.

The front of the crucifix features a finely detailed Corpus of Christ affixed to a budded cross. Surrounding the figure of Jesus are four circular medallions depicting sacred imagery. Above Christ’s head is the traditional St. Benedict Medal, inscribed with protective Latin initials and the Cross of Saint Benedict. The left arm shows a depiction of Saint Benedict giving a blessing; the right portrays a scene of monastic or spiritual counsel. Below the feet of Christ is a symbolic image of the cross and altar, representing the sacrifice of the Mass.

The reverse of the crucifix displays five detailed scenes arranged in circular panels, illustrating moments from the life and miracles of Saint Benedict of Nursia. At the center stands a full-figure image of St. Benedict, flanked by inscriptions and surrounded by narrative vignettes: the giving of the Rule, the blessing of the poisoned cup, exorcism scenes, and acts of divine protection.
